Itinerant table cross of the Neocatechumenal Way in metal with 10 micron sterling silver plating.

Cross measure: 15x11cms.

The Neocatechumenal Way was founded in the 1960s, based on the statements of Kiko Argüello, who said he had been inspired by the Virgin Mary in 1959, where she would have asked him to "make Christian communities like the Holy Family of Nazareth." Argüello devoted himself to evangelization and lived for a time in poor areas of Palomeras Altas, on the outskirts of Madrid, where most of its inhabitants lived in shacks. There he met Carmen Hernández and from 1964 to 1967 they worked together in the slums.
